Archdiocese of Detroit is Hiring a Custodian Near Rochester, MI
- Ensure a clean, safe, and attractive environment inside all parish buildings, adjacent grounds, parking lot and surrounding property.
- Clean all rooms and bathrooms, including, but not limited to, dusting, moping, vacuuming, emptying trash containers, and replacing supplies.
- Perform set-up/teardown and cleanup of facilities for parish meetings and activities.
- Shovel sidewalks and entrances during snowstorms as needed.
- Address staff needs and issues as they arise.
- Follow campus security policies and procedures.
- Address emergencies when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, the Campus Operations Manager, the Business Manager or Pastor.
- Direct report to the Maintenance Manager.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with computers.
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift 50 lbs. or more and to be mobile for an extended period.
- Ability to communicate professionally and work as a team.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Strong integrity and honesty with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to work over regularly scheduled hours as needed, especially during holidays, special events and emergencies.
- Must complete the Archdiocesan Protecting God’s Children training and pass a background check.
